DR. JENNIFER POWER

Veterinarian

Dr. Power grew up in Mashpee on Cape Cod, MA. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut with a double major in Animal Science and Pathobiology. She attended Veterinary School in Grenada at St. George’s University before completing her clinical year at the University of Florida. She completed a rotating internship at Coral Springs Animal Hospital in FL and, from there, worked as an emergency and critical care veterinarian in West Palm Beach, FL.

She then moved to Germany to rediscover her roots, spend time with family, and improve her German language skills. During this time, she volunteered at a mixed animal practice and later worked in a joint general practice/urgent care/specialty hospital near Leipzig, Germany.

When she returned to the States, Dr. Power took employment at an Emergency and Referral Hospital near Scranton, PA before moving home to MA (Boston) where she transitioned her focus to a general practice role. She moved to Maine after welcoming her son to be closer to family.

Dr. Power’s veterinary interests include internal medicine, ultrasonography, feline medicine, neurology, geriatric medicine, dentistry/surgery, and practicing fear-free veterinary care. Her hobbies include spending time with her partner and son, Noah, and her two lovable cats, Dash and Nora, exploring restaurants and breweries, skiing/tubing, traveling, dancing, bad karaoke, hiking, and painting.
